Buster the DMC mascot dogSince the Fall of 1993, Dayton Mills Construction Ltd. has delivered on the promise to provide attention to detail on all aspects of our client’s project development and execution.  Meeting the needs of our clients, by working with our clients, DMC has successfully completed projects throughout BC and areas of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

At all times, construction is a people-oriented process.  Dayton Mills has always striven to provide a respectful and great experience for all participants, contributing positively to the project’s costs, schedule and quality.  Our Staff, the General Public, our Clients, Consultants, our Trade Contractors & Suppliers, and Government Agencies are all communicated to, professionally and respectfully.  This is a win-win for everyone.

Dayton Mills Vintage SignDMC has always been safety conscious, implementing our own Safety Policies and Procedures in 1995.  Dayton Mills is always reinvesting back into the company, upgrading systems, promoting Staff further education and training in their areas of expertise, as well as in areas of Construction Safety, Efficiencies and Knowledge.

The name Dayton Mills represents strength and manufacturing.  A tradition of quality, service and integrity that began in the 1950’s with Harold J. McLelland and Family and continues today.

Bruce McLelland
Owner/Operations Manager

Born in Vancouver, BC, into a Construction Family & Industry with over 30 years estimating and construction management experience.  Bruce has been educated in Architectural Design, Civil & Structural Technologies, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, CSA Construction Procedures, as well as many Industry related courses and is Gold Seal Certified in Project Management.

Bruce is always interested and willing to assist people in regard to their Design and Construction challenges.

    When you agreed to work with us, you took on a project that appeared to be straight forward at the outset and proved to be quite challenging because of the detail we and the architect were looking for. On top of that you had to deal with slow delivery of information and a client (us) who had a drop dead date of December 16th. And you did it.
